Additionally\, a racer cannot race for more than one team. \n\n\n\nEach team may have as many alternates (substitutes) as they want if an original member cannot attend. The alternate can ski under their name or be listed on the team roster as an alternate.\n\n\n\nEach team needs to determine their 6 official racers by 1:30pm on the day of the race. Each team captain must report their team list to Liz Moseley before the start in person or via text. Otherwise\, the team will be penalized by 1 point. \n\n\n\nIf a racer is injured\, they may be replaced for the remainder of the season. \n\n\n\nEvery competitor will get 2 runs between 1:30-4pm. Each racer gets one combined time per team. Both runs need to be completed without disqualification. The combined time will be scored.\n\n\n\nEach competitor will be assigned a bib number for the league.  Remember your number after the first week.\n\n\n\nCompetitors must check in with starter prior to running course and state their bib number.\n\n\n\nHiking is allowed in course and time will count as long as passage is ensured.\n\n\n\nHelmets must be worn while running the race course.\n\n\n\n\n\nTarghee Cup Scoring\n\nRace results are scored by gender.\n\n\n\nOnly 6 members can be scored per event.\n\n\n\nOne female and one male must be scored.\n\n\n\nEach racer will be assigned points descending from 10-1\, beginning with 10 for first place. After every 10\, the points “restart” with 10. (i.e. a racer finishing 11th\, 21st\, 31st\, etc. gets the same points as 1st\, and so on..)\n\n\n\nThe best 4 scores of the up to 6 point-scoring-racers will be used for each team’s weekly score using assigned point system described above.\n\n\n\nDNF and DQs will result in a score of zero.\n\n\n\nHiking is permitted\, and as long as proper passage is made the time will post.\n\n\n\nEach team will receive a total score for each race which will count toward the overall series results.\n\n\n\nTies: Should any two teams within the top three overall tie in points\, the following method will be used to break the tie: the fifth pointed team result within each race will be added to each race’s calculation for a new\, overall point total. The team with the higher amount of points wins. Should the teams still tie\, the sixth pointed team result within each race will be added to each race calculation. Should the teams STILL tie\, then it’s destiny. The winner will be decided by rock\, paper\, scissors!\n\n\n\n\n\nTarghee Cup Results\n\nA protest period for any scoring/timing discrepancies will be allowed until 5pm on race day.  After 5:00pm on race day\, all results are final.\n\n\n\nResults will be distributed the day of in the Trap.  Stay to see results and enjoy your free pitcher of beer!\n\n\n\nResults will also be posted to the website following each race and submitted to the Teton Valley News.\n\n\n\nCumulative points for the entire series by team will be used to determine winners. This weekend is all about getting outside with your teammates and enjoying the best of springtime skiing. Competitions include a USSA sanctioned individual skate race\, a team sprint skate\, and a classic pursuit.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDistances vary with age groups and disciplines. Saturday will be skate races\, while Sunday will be classic races. This race will have the skiathlon format\, meaning racers will ski the first (1st) lap of the race using classic technique and the second (2nd) lap using skate technique. Racers will have a transition zone to swap from their classic equipment to their skate equipment. In true Spud Chase fashion\, after the race\, participants will finish with a baked potato bar. \n\n\n\nThe race is located at the Alta Nordic Trail. Additionally\, a racer cannot race for more than one team. \n\n\n\nEach team may have as many alternates (substitutes) as they want if an original member cannot attend. The alternate can ski under their name or be listed on the team roster as an alternate.\n\n\n\nEach team needs to determine their 6 official racers by 1:30pm on the day of the race. Each team captain must report their team list to Liz Moseley before the start in person or via text. Otherwise\, the team will be penalized by 1 point. \n\n\n\nIf a racer is injured\, they may be replaced for the remainder of the season. \n\n\n\nEvery competitor will get 2 runs between 1:30-4pm. Each racer gets one combined time per team. Both runs need to be completed without disqualification. The combined time will be scored.\n\n\n\nEach competitor will be assigned a bib number for the league.  Remember your number after the first week.\n\n\n\nCompetitors must check in with starter prior to running course and state their bib number.\n\n\n\nHiking is allowed in course and time will count as long as passage is ensured.\n\n\n\nHelmets must be worn while running the race course.\n\n\n\n\n\nTarghee Cup Scoring\n\nRace results are scored by gender.\n\n\n\nOnly 6 members can be scored per event.\n\n\n\nOne female and one male must be scored.\n\n\n\nEach racer will be assigned points descending from 10-1\, beginning with 10 for first place. After every 10\, the points “restart” with 10. (i.e. a racer finishing 11th\, 21st\, 31st\, etc. gets the same points as 1st\, and so on..)\n\n\n\nThe best 4 scores of the up to 6 point-scoring-racers will be used for each team’s weekly score using assigned point system described above.\n\n\n\nDNF and DQs will result in a score of zero.\n\n\n\nHiking is permitted\, and as long as proper passage is made the time will post.\n\n\n\nEach team will receive a total score for each race which will count toward the overall series results.\n\n\n\nTies: Should any two teams within the top three overall tie in points\, the following method will be used to break the tie: the fifth pointed team result within each race will be added to each race’s calculation for a new\, overall point total. The team with the higher amount of points wins. Should the teams still tie\, the sixth pointed team result within each race will be added to each race calculation. Should the teams STILL tie\, then it’s destiny. The winner will be decided by rock\, paper\, scissors!\n\n\n\n\n\nTarghee Cup Results\n\nA protest period for any scoring/timing discrepancies will be allowed until 5pm on race day.  After 5:00pm on race day\, all results are final.\n\n\n\nResults will be distributed the day of in the Trap.  Stay to see results and enjoy your free pitcher of beer!\n\n\n\nResults will also be posted to the website following each race and submitted to the Teton Valley News.\n\n\n\nCumulative points for the entire series by team will be used to determine winners. Additionally\, a racer cannot race for more than one team. \n\n\n\nEach team may have as many alternates (substitutes) as they want if an original member cannot attend. The alternate can ski under their name or be listed on the team roster as an alternate.\n\n\n\nEach team needs to determine their 6 official racers by 1:30pm on the day of the race. Each team captain must report their team list to Liz Moseley before the start in person or via text. Otherwise\, the team will be penalized by 1 point. \n\n\n\nIf a racer is injured\, they may be replaced for the remainder of the season. \n\n\n\nEvery competitor will get 2 runs between 1:30-4pm. Each racer gets one combined time per team. Both runs need to be completed without disqualification. The combined time will be scored.\n\n\n\nEach competitor will be assigned a bib number for the league.  Remember your number after the first week.\n\n\n\nCompetitors must check in with starter prior to running course and state their bib number.\n\n\n\nHiking is allowed in course and time will count as long as passage is ensured.\n\n\n\nHelmets must be worn while running the race course.\n\n\n\n\n\nTarghee Cup Scoring\n\nRace results are scored by gender.\n\n\n\nOnly 6 members can be scored per event.\n\n\n\nOne female and one male must be scored.\n\n\n\nEach racer will be assigned points descending from 10-1\, beginning with 10 for first place. After every 10\, the points “restart” with 10. (i.e. a racer finishing 11th\, 21st\, 31st\, etc. gets the same points as 1st\, and so on..)\n\n\n\nThe best 4 scores of the up to 6 point-scoring-racers will be used for each team’s weekly score using assigned point system described above.\n\n\n\nDNF and DQs will result in a score of zero.\n\n\n\nHiking is permitted\, and as long as proper passage is made the time will post.\n\n\n\nEach team will receive a total score for each race which will count toward the overall series results.\n\n\n\nTies: Should any two teams within the top three overall tie in points\, the following method will be used to break the tie: the fifth pointed team result within each race will be added to each race’s calculation for a new\, overall point total. The team with the higher amount of points wins. Should the teams still tie\, the sixth pointed team result within each race will be added to each race calculation. Should the teams STILL tie\, then it’s destiny. The winner will be decided by rock\, paper\, scissors!\n\n\n\n\n\nTarghee Cup Results\n\nA protest period for any scoring/timing discrepancies will be allowed until 5pm on race day.  After 5:00pm on race day\, all results are final.\n\n\n\nResults will be distributed the day of in the Trap.  Stay to see results and enjoy your free pitcher of beer!\n\n\n\nResults will also be posted to the website following each race and submitted to the Teton Valley News.\n\n\n\nCumulative points for the entire series by team will be used to determine winners. Additionally\, a racer cannot race for more than one team. \n\n\n\nEach team may have alternates (substitutes) if an original member cannot attend. The alternate must ski under the original member’s name or be listed on the team roster as an alternate. \n\n\n\nIf a racer is injured\, they may be replaced for the remainder of the season. \n\n\n\nEvery competitor will get 2 runs between 1:30-4pm. Each racer gets one combined time per team. Both runs need to be completed without disqualification. The combined time will be scored.\n\n\n\nEach competitor will be assigned a bib number for the league.  Remember your number after the first week.\n\n\n\nCompetitors must check in with starter prior to running course and state their bib number.\n\n\n\nHiking is allowed in course and time will count as long as passage is ensured.\n\n\n\nHelmets must be worn while running the race course.\n\n\n\n\n\nTarghee Cup Scoring\n\nRace results are scored by gender.\n\n\n\nOnly 6 members can be scored per event.\n\n\n\nOne female and one male must be scored.\n\n\n\nEach racer will be assigned points descending from 10-1\, beginning with 10 for first place. Additionally\, a racer cannot race for more than one team. \n\n\n\nEach team may have alternates (substitutes) if an original member cannot attend. The alternate must ski under the original member’s name or be listed on the team roster as an alternate. \n\n\n\nIf a racer is injured\, they may be replaced for the remainder of the season. \n\n\n\nEvery competitor will get 2 runs between 1:30-4pm. Each racer gets one combined time per team. Both runs need to be completed without disqualification. The combined time will be scored.\n\n\n\nEach competitor will be assigned a bib number for the league.  Remember your number after the first week.\n\n\n\nCompetitors must check in with starter prior to running course and state their bib number.\n\n\n\nHiking is allowed in course and time will count as long as passage is ensured.\n\n\n\nHelmets must be worn while running the race course.\n\n\n\n\n\nTarghee Cup Scoring\n\nRace results are scored by gender.\n\n\n\nOnly 6 members can be scored per event.\n\n\n\nOne female and one male must be scored.\n\n\n\nEach racer will be assigned points descending from 10-1\, beginning with 10 for first place. After every 10\, the points “restart” with 10. (i.e. a racer finishing 11th\, 21st\, 31st\, etc. gets the same points as 1st\, and so on..)\n\n\n\nThe best 4 scores of the up to 6 point-scoring-racers will be used for each team’s weekly score using assigned point system described above.\n\n\n\nDNF and DQs will result in a score of zero.\n\n\n\nHiking is permitted\, and as long as proper passage is made the time will post.\n\n\n\nEach team will receive a total score for each race which will count toward the overall series results.\n\n\n\nTies: Should any two teams within the top three overall tie in points\, the following method will be used to break the tie: the fifth pointed team result within each race will be added to each race’s calculation for a new\, overall point total. The team with the higher amount of points wins. Should the teams still tie\, the sixth pointed team result within each race will be added to each race calculation. Should the teams STILL tie\, then it’s destiny. The winner will be decided by rock\, paper\, scissors!\n\n\n\n\n\nTarghee Cup Results\n\nA protest period for any scoring/timing discrepancies will be allowed until 5pm on race day.  After 5:00pm on race day\, all results are final.\n\n\n\nResults will be distributed the day of in the Trap.  Stay to see results and enjoy your free pitcher of beer!\n\n\n\nResults will also be posted to the website following each race and submitted to the Teton Valley News.\n\n\n\nCumulative points for the entire series by team will be used to determine winners.
