SUMMARY:Spudathlon Race
DESCRIPTION:Come join GTSSF for a revamping of two historic Teton Valley cross-country races: the Spud Chase and the Alta Vista Skiathlon. This race will have the skiathlon format\, meaning racers will ski the first (1st) lap of the race using classic technique and the second (2nd) lap using skate technique. Racers will have a transition zone to swap from their classic equipment to their skate equipment. In true Spud Chase fashion\, after the race\, participants will finish with a baked potato bar.  \n\n\n\nThe race is located at the Alta Nordic Trail. Address: 20 Alta School Rd Alta\, WY 83414. \n\n\n\nYou can also register as a 2 person team for 3km\, 7km and 16km. One team member will race Classic and then tags their partner who then skis the Skate leg of the race.  \n\n\n\n\nIf you only want to do the classic lap or the skate lap and you need a partner then let us know and we will try to help you find one.\n\n\n\n\n\nIf registering in the team category each participant must register separately and put team name on the registration page.\n\n\n\nRegistration cost covers a baked potato lunch after the race and an entry into the raffle!\n\n\n\n\nOnline Registration can be found at the bottom of this page \n\n\n\nEvent Registration Fees \n\n\n\n\nKids .5 km race no registration required.\n\n\n\n$20 for 19 and younger\n\n\n\n$30 for 20 and over (individual & teams)\n\n\n\n\nAdditional $10 fee for day of race registration.
