Participation and event volunteering is a requirement of our program families.

Executive Board
Board and Committee involvement requires dedication and commitment to quality work above and beyond event participation. The quality of participation directly impacts our programs. Athlete Family Volunteers
To help keep costs down and aid in the club’s fundraising, families are charged a volunteer deposit for participation in GTSSF programs. This deposit helps the club keep our costs down and is refunded on completion of the following:

• Athlete: 6 horas de voluntariado por niño o 12 horas por familia (familias con varios atletas).
• Scholarship Athlete: 8 volunteer hours per child or 16 hours per family (families with multiple athletes). This does not apply to athletes who receive automatic scholarships related to competition fees IE: Waterloo or Rich Beesley.
• Cross Country REC Program: volunteer as a parent helper at practice once per child for the one-day-a-week program and twice per child for the two-day-a-week option.

At the end of the winter season (late April) the families who have completed their required volunteer hours will be refunded the full amount to the card used for your registration.

You may also choose to donate your volunteer deposit to GTSSF and not work those hours. GTSSF does not provide any refunds for partial completion of volunteer requirements.
