Freeride TEAM

The GTSSF Freeride Teams make up the competitive IFSA athletes from u12 – 18. These teams focus on preparing athletes for every step in their athletic journey with skill development, competition support, as well as personal growth. Athletes must have a coach recommendation and meet the commitment, athletic skill, and psychological maturity requirements to participate in these programs.

Our highly credentialed and experienced coaches use world-class venues, diverse and appropriate training environments, and the latest methodologies to provide the best development opportunities for our athletes. Based on ability and qualification, athletes compete at the divisional, regional and national levels in IFSA and USASA events.

A skier in blue carves effortlessly down the steep, powder-laden flank of Glory Bowl, sunlight glancing off crystalline snow under an endless western sky. In this high country—where Teton Valley spills into the shadow of the Range, and Jackson Hole lies cradled between mountain giants—the air crackles with winter’s clarity. Every turn stirs centuries-old snow ghosts clinging to whitebark pines; each breath carries a trace of cold sage from distant flats where bison roam below. The Greater Yellowstone region sprawls beyond sight, shaped by fire and ice, its vastness both wild sanctuary and skiers’ playground—where ambition rides side by side with humility before raw nature. Here in this moment—a streak of blue against alpine brilliance—the skier is part of something far older than trails or towns: a living pulse at the heart of the Tetons’ unforgettable winter canvas.
